Strange-land mine
While you dance to the urban wind of belief
And to the treading feet which awaken relief
And as the hill sojourns with you on his back
You must embrace it all…
…that the canals stream your way

When your braids besot a

reef
And your camwood skin the swinging of the night
When your heart beats to the dumsor dumsor* harvest
And in a blunt twist of time your silence bestows louder
You must embrace it all…
…these melodies by doubt and with memories of the buried past

Strange-land and shield o’ mine
When you reckon a new thing
And the petrichor slings upon you like a sting
When you unearth and unleashed fear with anger
Know, please, that you must embrace it all
These words, whose meanings, you fret while thunder strikes
